The Experience

The three-night cruise gives you enough time to get acclimatized to the slow and peaceful life on the water, and is perfect for travellers taking time out for themselves between sight-seeing, or visiting friends and relatives.


The Routes

Several routes are available depending on whether you would like to work the double locks on the Leicester Line or not.   If we turn left up the Leicester Line after sailing through the historic Foxton Locks then there are 5 locks to pass through - and come back through on our return, making 10 locks in all.  On our way back to Foxton we stop into the picturesque town of Market Harborough, and arrive back at the marina at 4:00pm on the seventh day.  If you prefer not to have the stress of all those locks, we can sail West towards Crick before coming back and going through Foxton and Market Harborough.


The Logistics

Cruises are fully catered by a private chef and the price is all-inclusive for one or two adults.   Note that canal boats are not generally accessible by their nature, and we cannot accommodate life-threatening allergies in our mixed-use kitchen.  If you are arriving by train, courtesy pickup from Market Harborough railway station (an hour out of London's St. Pancras station) is available upon request.


Refund Policy

Narrowboat holidays are popular and book up well ahead.  In order to protect your booking, as is standard in the industry, we require payment in advance. 

  • A non-refundable booking fee of £500 is required at the time of booking.
  • £2,400 is refundable up to twelve weeks before your trip.
  • £1,200 is refundable up to four weeks before your trip.

All efforts will be made to honour your trip dates.  However, if we need to cancel owing to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, and we cannot find a replacement to skipper and cater your trip, you will get a full refund or a trip credit.  On rare occasion, especially over winter, trips may be rescheduled owing to bad weather and in that case we will work with you to find a mutually acceptable alternative date.
